We are one of six shortlisted firms to curate the Hong Kong Exhibition at the Venice Architecture Biennale. Although not the finalist, we are honoured to participate in the world's leading showcase for Architecture.
The 2020 Biennale asks how will we live together. Our proposal examines the 1178 kilometers of coastline that strings nearly every community in the territory together. Far from a static boundary, the coastline traces the evolving relationship between land and water, city and nature. As Hong Kong faces the dual crises in social inclusion and climate change, the coastline presents a unique opportunity to transform the waterfont from one of the world's busiest ports into a space for social inclusion and ecological resilience.
